Rewards privacy notice

This notice covers the Buckeye Loyalty Rewards Program operated by Buckeye Complete Auto Care (“Buckeye,” “we,” or “us”). It describes both the customer rewards portal and the internal browser extension our service advisors use, which is published on the Chrome Web Store as BCAC Rewards Overlay.

1. The customer rewards portal

• We use your verified email address to connect you to the Buckeye customer record associated with that exact email.
• We store account verification, your consent to the program terms, sign-in sessions, and your rewards ledger activity.
• Sign-in links are single use and are stored only as cryptographic hashes. We cannot recover a link after it is issued.
• The portal does not expose internal repair notes, shop costs, gross profit, employee performance, audit findings, or system credentials.

2. The BCAC Rewards Overlay browser extension

The extension is an internal tool for Buckeye staff. It is not intended for customers or the general public, and it does nothing at all without a credential issued by Buckeye.

• Where it runs. Only on shop.tekmetric.com, the shop management system our advisors already use. It runs nowhere else.
• What it sends. Only a Tekmetric repair order or customer identifier already visible in the page address, sent to Buckeye’s own server at dashboard.buckeyecompleteauto.com.
• What it displays. A member’s tier, reward balance, visit count and lifetime spend with Buckeye — the same information an advisor can already see in our systems.
• What it stores. One configuration value: the API credential the extension presents to our server. On managed shop computers that value is supplied by our administrator and is never entered by staff.

3. What the extension does not do

• It does not collect browsing history, page contents, keystrokes, form entries, location, or any activity outside Tekmetric.
• It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts of any kind.
• It does not sell, rent, or transfer any information to third parties.
• It does not send data anywhere except Buckeye’s own server, and it refuses any request path not on a fixed internal allowlist.

4. Retention

Rewards ledger entries are retained for the life of the membership because a balance is calculated from its own history rather than stored as a number. Sign-in tokens expire within minutes and are marked used once redeemed. Records tied to a Buckeye repair order follow our ordinary business records retention.

5. Your choices

You may close your rewards account at any time by contacting us. Closing an account ends program participation and forfeits any unredeemed balance, as described in the program terms. Your underlying service history remains part of our business records.
